Our 2020 Virtual Festival of Trees was a great success! Over 16,000 Raffle tickets were sold and more than $3,200 raised in our online auction! All of the prizes were viewable at www.scmh.org/community/festival-of-trees Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital received multiple financial sponsorships and donations. We will share our fundraising totals in the coming weeks. Funds raised during the Festival and Giving Tuesday will support the new Rehabilitation Center and Infusion Suites in our upcoming building expansion project. The drawing was streamed live on the Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Facebook page and can be viewed HERE. We saw winners from across the Upper Peninsula.
During the week we live streamed entertainment by the Manistique Area School band members, we lit our Love Lite Tree in a virtual ceremony, and received a $10,000 donation from the Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Auxiliary group for the new aquatic therapy pool. What a joy to have our community engaged and safe while enjoying the Festival from the Comfort of their own homes.
Thank you to the businesses and organizations who participated by donating a prize, wreath, or tree in this year’s event. We would not have had this success without the many ticket sellers and volunteers who promoted this event and brought this event to fruition.
All of our winners have been contacted to arrange a scheduled pick up time. If you have any questions about this year’s Festival or on how you can participate in the 2021 Festival, please contact Irma González-Hider at 906-341-3250 or igonzalez-hider@scmh.org.
