Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Fitness Center is contacting members and informing the public of plans to permanently close the 24-Hour Fitness Center on 115 N Lake Street in Manistique. Building expansion plans are underway on US Highway 2, which will unite all hospital departments in one location. The Medical Office Building on 115 N Lake Street will no longer house departments after the expansion project is complete. We hope to begin construction on this project in 2020 once USDA Funding has been approved.
Unfortunately, the Fitness Center is not included in the building expansion project and the Fitness Center will close on March 1st, 2020. “The Fitness Center has served our community well for many years, offering a healthy option for community members. We thank our members for their loyalty throughout the years and hope that you continue to prioritize your health and fitness. Our new building expansion project will include a state-of-the-art rehabilitation therapy gym and pool for aquatic therapy. The new space on US 2 will be utilized by patients for Physical, Speech and Occupational therapies”, says Bob Crumb, Chief Executive Officer.
Active members will not see fitness charges for the month of February and prepaid memberships will be refunded. Gift card refunds can be requested until March 1st. Refunds for prepaid memberships will be initiated by our accounting team automatically so you don’t have to come in to receive the refund.
If you have any questions about your membership, please feel free to contact one of our Fitness Center employees during regular business hours Monday – Friday 6:00am-6:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm. A member of our team can be reached by phone at 906-341-3276.
Thank you for choosing Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital for your health care needs.
