Trisha McEvers was elected to the Board of Trustees in February, 2020 to fill a board seat that expires December 31, 2020. Trisha received her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1997. She brings with her over 22 years of career experience in the healthcare and behavioral health fields. Trisha’s current position is as a Mental Health Specialist for the LMAS District Health Department working on the E4 project. This is a grant-funded program developed to implement and sustain school-based mental health services in Schoolcraft County.
Trisha has been involved in several community organizations and holds a strong belief in the importance of volunteerism and supporting community resources and assets. She brings along experience working in both large and small health care systems. She has expressed respect for the challenges facing rural healthcare, as well as a solid understanding for the disparities facing our community related to socioeconomic factors and geographical barriers. Trisha is committed to the local area and the population served by SMH. She believes in SMH’s organizational goals and mission and the importance of sustaining a strong healthcare system in our local community.
