At Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital, we offer more than a job. We offer the opportunity to build the career of your dreams, share your passion with our patients, and impact the health and wellness of your family and friends in our communities. We realize not all jobs involve direct patient care; however, the work of every single team member contributes to our mission. Therefore, we are all “caregivers.” No matter your role at SMH, we are proud of every single caregiver who makes up our healthcare team. We invite you to become a Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital caregiver!

Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital is committed to providing a workplace free of illegal drug and/or alcohol use. Every applicant who receives a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug and/or alcohol test. A conditional employment offer will be revoked for employees who refuse to submit to a drug and/or alcohol test or who receive a positive test result, unless such positive test result is attributed to a prescription drug that has been prescribed to the employee and which does not impair the employee’s ability to safely perform his/her job. This exception does not apply to marijuana or marijuana related prescriptions. While the recreational use of marijuana has been legalized in the State of Michigan, federal law still prohibits recreational use under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA). Therefore, for the purpose of this policy, marijuana will continue to be viewed as an illegal substance.
