SMH Festival Of Trees

Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital (SMH) invites you to participate in the magic of the Festival of Trees. The festival opens Friday, December 6th, and runs for nine days, ending Saturday, December 14th. The Festival of Trees is a holiday-themed event with proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets and an online auction for necessary medical equipment. Donations to the annual fund help deliver close-to-home quality healthcare and specialty services to our rural residents. The event’s focal point is the display and sale of spectacular holiday trees, wreaths, gift certificates, getaways, merchandise, and more donated by businesses and community groups. The raffle drawing will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 14th, streamed live on the Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Facebook page.

The festival will include in-person viewing, Family Day, and this interactive website, which allows visitors to view all trees, wreaths, and prizes from home.

This year’s online auction will feature fully decorated Christmas trees, getaways, and prize packages. Bids can be placed online until December 14th at 2:00 p.m. Use the “Auction List” with quick links to your favorite items!

What makes the Festival of Trees so special? One reason is the fantastic support and generosity we receive from our businesses and the entire community. An event like this would not be possible without all of our sponsors. Enjoy the website!

Option 1: $100 Participation fee, and your business will purchase and decorate a new tree for this event.
Option 2: $500 includes the participation fee and an undecorated Christmas tree. ($600 after September 1)
Option 3: $700 Decorator Fee & we will purchase and decorate a tree on your behalf. ($800 after September 1)

The care that was provided by The nurses (Cindy, Felicia Ruth) and staff was exceptional. The entire staff was very friendly and made you feel welcome. We received a call from Felicia the next day to check on my husband to check his pain level and do a follow up. The surgery area from check in to check out was well organized, clean, and up to date. Thank you to all of you for what you do so well and everything beyond your normal duties.

I went to the ER with what turned out to pneumonia, well i was a little surprised to the ER doctor in his Stormy Cromer hat and buffalo plaid shirt. Excellent care, he explained everything and answered my questions. The best care ive had in the UP. I highly recommend Dr. Vix.

Dr Vix is the most awesome ER Dr that Schoolcraft Memorial has! He is always so thorough and step by step rules out a diagnosis. His bedside manner is amazing. Very caring and gentle and explains everything so you can understand what’s happening. He has a very respectful disposition and is awesome with my 98 year old father! Love him!
