about the festival
Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital (SMH) invites you to participate in the magic of the Festival of Trees from the comfort of your own home. The festival began on November 23rd and runs for two weeks ending December 6th. The Festival of Trees is a holiday-themed event with proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets and an online auction going toward Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s NEW Rehabilitation Services Center and Aquatic Therapy Pool. Donations to the building expansion fund help deliver close to home quality healthcare and specialty services to our rural residents. The focal point of the event is the display and sale of spectacular holiday trees, wreaths, gift certificates, getaways, merchandise, and more donated by businesses and community groups. The raffle drawing will be at 2 pm on Sunday, December 6th, and will be streamed live on the Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Facebook page.
The health and safety of our residents is our top priority. Due to COVID-19, the hospital has strict visitor restrictions in place. This year, the festival will include a number of live stream events, online entertainment and this interactive website to view all of the trees, wreaths and prizes from home.
New this year is our online auction. 7 Trees are in the auction and bids can be placed online until December 6th at 2:00pm. Most of the trees in the auction can be viewed in the business locations. To view the auction, visit www.scmh.org/auction.
This year, we have 59 items in the Raffle. Raffle tickets must be purchased at one of the ticket selling locations. All raffle tickets can be safely dropped off at the main entrance of the hospital in the marked receptacle or with the store retailers where you purchased your tickets. Raffle tickets cannot be purchased online. All raffle tickets have a space to label the prize number for the item you wish to win. Our team of Festival of Trees volunteers will be placing your tickets in the appropriate prize boxes daily. We know our patients and staff are going to light up when they see our atrium filled with holiday spirit. Enjoy the website! For a quick tutorial on how to use the website CLICK HERE.
What makes the Festival of Trees so special? One reason is the fantastic support and generosity we receive from our businesses and the entire community. An event like this would not be possible without all of our sponsors. The prizes this year are spectacular! Enjoy the website!
Choose which prize you want to win! Tickets are sold in bundles of 10 for $10. Label your raffle tickets with the item numbers you want to win and drop off your tickets at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s main entranceway. All tickets will be sorted by item number and winners will be announced LIVE on Facebook on December 6th, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Raffle tickets cannot be purchased online. The care that was provided by The nurses (Cindy, Felicia Ruth) and staff was exceptional. The entire staff was very friendly and made you feel welcome. We received a call from Felicia the next day to check on my husband to check his pain level and do a follow up. The surgery area from check in to check out was well organized, clean, and up to date. Thank you to all of you for what you do so well and everything beyond your normal duties.
