Board Certified in Family Medicine
Michael Burkley, DO is accepting new patients to his family medicine practice at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Rural Health Clinic in Manistique. He will be providing care for patients across the lifespan – infancy through geriatrics.
Dr. Burkley received his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, MI. He graduated from University of Des Moines College of Osteopathic Medicine, Iowa in 1998. In 2001, he completed his residency in family medicine in Bay City, MI and began practicing in Grayling, MI. Dr. Burkley was born in Grayling, MI and has spent all of his professional career in Michigan.
He has interest in skin disease and offers minor in office dermatological procedures. He has extensive experience managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and COPD.
In his spare time, Dr. Burkley enjoys fishing, bird hunting and camping. He lives with two energetic Yorkshire Terriers. He looks forward to treating new and established patients at the Manistique Rural Health Clinic and experiencing all the Upper Peninsula has to offer.
