As part of our ongoing mission to deliver exceptional patient care and in honor of its 75th anniversary, Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital is proud to announce the purchase of new anesthesia delivery equipment for its surgical department. This major investment in patient safety and comfort totals $130,000 and was made possible through community support and hospital funding.
Half of the funding was raised through the hospital’s annual 75th Anniversary Gala and Festival of Trees, thanks to the generosity of donors, sponsors, and event attendees. The remaining funds were matched by the hospital.
The new GE Carestation™ 750 Anesthesia Delivery System plays a critical role in keeping patients safe and comfortable during surgery. It helps the anesthesia team carefully monitor and manage a patient’s breathing and vital signs throughout a procedure. The machine is designed to respond quickly and accurately to a patient’s needs, making it easier for providers to deliver personalized care during both routine and complex surgeries.
“This equipment upgrade enhances the safety, efficiency, and overall quality of our surgical care,” said Kent LaCroix, Interim CEO. “It’s another example of how community support directly impacts patient outcomes, and we’re deeply grateful for that partnership as we celebrate 75 years of service.”
By investing in this advanced equipment, Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital is reinforcing its commitment to providing trusted, high-quality healthcare close to home. Patients undergoing surgery can feel confident knowing their care team is equipped with the latest tools to ensure a smooth and safe experience.
