Our expert medical professionals and experienced teachers will lead workshops and classes on a range of health related issues and provide real world skills that can be applied to everyday life.

Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s education classes are designed to be accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
Our classes are interactive, informative, and friendly. We involve both written and practical elements in our classes, so everyone has a chance to practice what they have just learned. Our teachers are always available to answer any questions you might have, and the classes are a great opportunity to meet others in the community with similar interests.

Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital is proud to offer a wide range of Educational opportunities along with Wellness programs for the people in our community.
At Schoolcraft Memorial, we have a State Certified program which has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association for Quality Self-Management Education that can provide you or your family member with the latest in diabetes education.
Medical Nutritional Therapy
This program is designed to help educate people with diabetes on how to manage their nutrition effectively. This includes how to count carbohydrates properly, how to manage blood glucose levels, and the proper insulin administration technique.
American Heart Association (AHA) Training
SMH is one of the largest American Heart Association (AHA) Training center in the State of Michigan. All courses through the AHA are offered, including how to respond to a heart attack, lifestyle improvements for heart health, and much more.
This is an up-to date and well rounded youth development program with a medical basis, which teaches young teen babysitters everything they need to know to keep themselves and the children in their care safe. The nationally-recognized, pediatrician-developed program includes child care techniques, basic first aid, rescue techniques (like choking infant and child rescue) and CPR, babysitting as a business, and online and cell phone safety. The program is for young teens 11+.
