What is Nephrology?

Nephrology is the branch of internal medicine that focuses on kidney health. Kidneys play a vital role in filtering waste, balancing electrolytes, regulating blood pressure, and maintaining overall fluid balance in the body. When kidneys are not functioning properly, it can lead to serious complications requiring ongoing medical management.

Nephrology appointments are available at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s Specialty Clinic by referral. Please speak with your primary care provider about a referral to Suzette Reilley, NP if you are experiencing symptoms related to kidney function or have a diagnosed kidney condition.

Suzette Reilley brings over five years of experience in nephrology care across hospital settings, outpatient clinics, and dialysis units. She is passionate about helping patients manage chronic and complex kidney diseases with a focus on education, prevention, and collaborative treatment planning.

Suzette is originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and now resides in Wisconsin with her husband to be closer to their grandchildren. She has a special interest in helping patients manage advanced kidney conditions and improve their long-term health outcomes.
