Jakyser was born and raised in Frisco City, Alabama. He is an LLMSW (Michigan) and an LMSW(Alabama). He attended the University of West Alabama and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular biology in 2017. He attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham where he was trained as a substance abuse fellow and graduated with a master’s degree in Clinical/Medical Social work in 2021. Jakyser worked as treatment services coordinator/counselor at a methadone clinic, and a licensed behavioral professional inside a maximum-security prison. He will be offering both individual and group outpatient therapy for all ages at the Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Behavioral Health Clinic located at 101 Walnut Street in Manistique, MI.
