A Night of Elegance and Entertainment – The 3rd Annual – “A Night Under the Stars” Gala Fundraiser Raises over $20,000 for New Portable Ultrasound Equipment.
The excitement and generosity were palpable at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s 3rd Annual Gala Fundraiser, where guests were treated to an unforgettable evening of elegance, entertainment, and philanthropy. The event was held at Inwood Township Hall on Saturday April 13th with over 140 guests in attendance.
Guests were treated to professional photos with Amy Stoll Photography and enjoyed a catered gourmet meal from Steinhaus. The inclusion of prize boxes, raffles and an online auction added an element of excitement to the event, encouraging guests to contribute generously while also enjoying the thrill of winning fabulous prizes. Mindy Asp’s win of the Alaskan Cruise Raffle added an extra dose of excitement and joy to the evening, highlighting the spirit of celebration and giving that defined the gala.
Guests were treated to an unforgettable experience as Drew & Kin’s enchanting melodies filled the air along with their drummer Mike Shea, setting the perfect tone for a night of elegance and entertainment. The dance floor remained alive and vibrant, with attendees showcasing their moves and reveling in the festive atmosphere.
The combination of live music, engaging performances, and the company of friends and fellow supporters created a magical ambiance that made the gala truly unforgettable. Amidst the music and merriment, the fundraising efforts soared, with the gala raising over $20,000 dedicated to acquiring advanced portable ultrasound equipment for Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s surgical department. Prior to the event, the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians contributed $18,838 to cover a portion of the ultrasound. With over $38,000 raised, the hospital will invest in the new equipment this spring. This significant achievement underscores the community’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services and ensuring access to state-of-the-art technology for better patient outcomes. This investment in state-of-the-art technology reflects Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare delivery.
