Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital held its 2nd Annual Golf Outing on Friday, September 6th at Stony Point Course in Manistique. Monies raised from the golf event will be used towards the SMH Urology Surgical Services program.
SMH Communications Coordinator, Alison Jones said “Stony Point generously donated their course for our golf outing. Twenty-five golfers enjoyed a perfect atmosphere for a fun day of 18-holes of golf for a great cause. “
A number of local businesses took part in this year’s outing as well as SMH building contractors who have worked on the new hospital. Additionally, many business sponsored holes with Superior State Savings Agency sponsoring the $10,000 hole-in-one contest. Other contests included the Vegas Hole and Putting contest.
The Honorable Judge Charles Nebel, his son Keegan Nebel and Prosecuting Attorney Tim Noble won the event. Making a kind gesture, they donated their winnings back to the hospital.
“Our golf outing is not a tournament, it’s a fun day to go out and play golf and raise money to help support medical programs at our hospital. It allows us to continue to provide only the best in care, service and technology to our community and all those that come to seek care at SMH.” Said Jones.
SMH extends a heart-felt thank you to our sponsors for taking part in this year’s outing:
